Savoury Apples to go with pork or black pudding or whatever!

Eating apples with savoury food – slightly crunchy, pretty and easy to do

Ingredients for two-three people

2 eating apples (the ones with pink skins look pretty – but any will do)

A knob of butter

Method

Melt butter in a pan

core apple and cut into wedges (around 6 wedges per apple)

Add apples to butter when it’s a bit frothy and cook on a medium to high heat until they’re just beginning to cook and are nice and hot – you don’t want to cook them until they go mushy

Serve with pork chops, cheffy black pudding type starters, with a roast dinner – also nice with venison
